Tasting Notes
Idaho 7 is a varietal that has come into our brewery lives and completely charmed us with its pronounced flavour intensity and incredible aromatic notes. We've explored single-hop tributes with this varietal previously, employing it in an all out, amped up DDH Oat IPA, but we wanted to opt for something a little more reeled in, laid back and relaxed this time around. Having become accustomed to the unique characteristics of this hop, we agreed those pink grapefruit, apricot, and mango notes are best served in an easygoing, smashable pale ale. With a gentle 25kg dry hop charge offset by a 10kg addition in the whirlpool, this beer has all the qualities of a juicy, hop forward beer, with those underlying earthy black tea and pine needle notes to keep it positively Polly's.
