Lawton (Sales Director)
I started my drinks career with Schweppes in the mid
seventies in the on trade, progressing into national
accounts looking after regional brewers and wholesale
supplying the on trade. After 17 years I left the
company and moved into the wholesale sector in the
South Midlands. At one stage owning a pub in the
area and running a sales team! (not a great idea
in reality, nice thought though!) After 37 years
in the industry I feel I have a rounded knowledge
of all aspects of the on trade including wines cask
ales and soft drinks. Business development is my
strength and new product opportunities we can nurture
is a passion. I love the trade and most of the people!! |

I entered the drinks industry in a sales capacity
in 1995 eventually starting my own wholesale drinks
business “Little Drinks Co” in 1999 which was acquired
by Inn Express in late 2010. Paramount to this
decision was the same exceptional commitment to
service together with a competitive pricing structure
and increased product range available to my customers
from Inn Express.
I have a particular interest in real ales and will
quite happily finish the working week with a good
pint of Everards Tiger.

My interest in the trade
started some years ago when I joined what was then
Alvechurch Mens Club. I joined the committee and
in 1983 became the club secretary, a position I still
hold. I also spent 14 years on the C.I.U executive
committee .
In 1993 I joined Mas Den in Redditch in a sales role and the rest is history.
My favourite tipple is a dry wine and I love my holidays in Portugal.

I have 6 years industry experience, having worked
for AB InBev and a Wine and Spirit agency before
joining Inn Express in January 2011. I naturally
have an interest in wines and specialist spirits
(currently in process of WSET Advanced Certificate)
and happy to discuss at length. As a CAMRA member
I’m also passionate about real ale and helped in
the process of Inn Express recently achieving Cask
Marque accreditation. In addition to that, I really
enjoy our new Belgian Amber Beer…. “Palm”.

I
have worked in this great industry for over 5 years
now and seem to learn something
new every day. My particular area of interest is
wine (WSET Trained) of which my favourites include
New Zealand
Sauvignon Blanc, Rioja and a good glass of Pinot
Noir. I also love to try different and unique spirits
with
Gin being my number one choice and beers from all
over the world, a German or Belgian Pilsner ticks
all the
boxes for me. I have a positive approach and am dedicated
to assisting my customers with their business as
much as I possibly can.
